Golf World does exist

Diamondhead is built around two golf courses, and the vast majority of residents are retirees who moved here in order to play golf all day. The young, especially the unmarried, tend to find it horrendously boring. Nevertheless, DH is quiet and safe, and property values are low, although insurance rates and MS taxes are high. The Bay of St. Louis, an arm of the Gulf of Mexico, borders the southern end, and there are still a few marinas left on the Gulf Coast after Katrina, though they are pricey and have long waiting lists. Casinos are nearby. New Orleans is about 55 mis. away for the adventuresome. There is a distinct lack of top quality medical care on the Coast (actually statewide) but other than that, Diamondhead is a pretty nice place to retire.
