Good place to live but

The good is that property taxes are not that bad, house prices are low, schools are good, and you are close to the city but still in a rural setting. Bad is that area is a hub for truck hauling and it is within 5 miles of Three Mile Island nuclear power plant (the one that almost had a melt down). Political thinking leans way to the right. Air and water quality is right in the middle, not as bad as a NYC and not as good as the Rockies. Not a great selection of restaurants (can't even make good pizza). There is a decent selection of the arts within 1/2 hr. drive. There are a few nice parks close by but they are not at the outstanding view level. Lots of hunting and fishing. Boating on the Susquehanna River. Great area for bicycling.
