Expensive, beautiful, weird? Good.

Beautiful town, the shops and food are great, albeit expensive. Tons of hiking, natural springs, amazing views and cliffs, Victorian buildings, decent school, low crime. Small town on the weekdays, only 2000 residents. Then the weekends come and it’s full of tourism life. Lots of hospitality work, but that’s the only work. Good town for those with remote work. Do not get involved with politics here and keep your opinions to yourself or select trusted few. These people are brutal out here and everyone talks about everyone. They will judge you before they know you. There are fighting factions here, some corruption in government, and it has a few “big fish” that make the rules and profit. On the other hand, they are very accepting of minorities and LGBTQ+. You can’t really live here unless you have a lot of money.
