summers hot and humid, like crazy hot and humid with no relief. great springs and falls, and mild winters, some snow. but a nice sunny winter unlike say detroit. decent arts scene but mostly nascar and high school football freaks. does a liberal have a shot anywhere? friendly people but a bit of backwards thinking. dont' know....others seem to really like it. it's affordable!
