great place to live

Fairfax City has been named as a Great Small City in the past. It has a mix of the old & the new. The Civil war was fought in & around the city.
George Mason Univ. has an award-winning basketball team, a great cultural arts program & a terrific law school. Fairfax is a short commute to Washington, DC & several military installations. The weather is usually moderate, but traffic is usually quite busy.
