Grew up in south Minneapolis and headed 3 hours west to Fargo. Why did I want to leave the Twin Cities area? Found a great job. Nicer apartment for less money. Nice people and way safer than Minneapolis.
I just bought my first house so I'm not going anywhere, although I miss living downtown close to the OB. I'm hoping to start a business in the next few years
