Beware of public schools in Fort Smith

I have lived her a very long time and we are looking to move to Texas for hopefully more jobs and better education. Be aware that Fort Smith laid-off a lot of teachers and cut many programs in music, PE, etc. My daughter goes to high school and her math class as 55 students, her english class as 47. In both classes, they have to share text books. Most parents I know have bought used text books from Amazon.com and other sources. Since Reem and Whirlpool decided to move to Mexico, the area has a steady decline in jobs and home values. I think the city in 20 years could really go under if the leadership does not attract new industry to the area.
