WE NEED A REVOLUTION!!!
I am a 21 year old female living in Freeland,Pa and I believe our town (among many others)needs a serious rejuvination. We need to be completely restructured as far as looks of the town go and job and business opportunity is lacking too. I know other people who have great ideas on how to revamp the town, but were low on resources and our own council and borough suppress the potential of this wonderful little mountaintop town. We need OPENMINDEDNESS, SELF SUSTAINABILITY, SELF GOVERENCE from the rest of the areas that surround us because we truly are a different area up here!!! A new mayor, council, and borough would help) any suggestions or comments email me @: imagine.1031@yahoo.com
Ideas include but arent limited to:
agricultural sustainability partnerships
independent employment opportunities
independent local resource center
self sustainability
going green - ethylalcohol gas alternative and vegetable oil gas alternative
hemp production and munfacturing would be useful
a beer factory would be another way to increase revenue
restoration projects
public park revamp
adding a recreation committee if we dont have one and if we do, restructuring it
local business opportunity loans/ grants
better care for animals including a more local vets and a no kill animal shelter
CELEBRATIONS AND PARADES
and i know this seems like a long stretch "Marijuana Compliance Ordinances For Recreational and Medical Purpose" ---- would also increase local revenue and economy
