Review of Gilbert, Arizona

Lacking in culture
Star Rating - 7/12/2006
The Phoenix metro area is without culture. Obviously there is a huge mexican population, however, there is not much in the way of other cultures represented. There are outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and camping, but the weather makes it difficult to be outside in the summer. It is a very cookie cutter spread out town. It is lacking originality and tradition as so many people are transplants. The school systems are mediocre at best and the city is not really prepared for the influx of people that have come because of the housing boom (that has now gone bust). It really is still a town that has that 'wild wild west' feel from the government to many of the residents.
