Review of Gilbert, Arizona

Lack of Vision
Star Rating - 5/21/2007
Lived in Gilbert most of my life. Town government here is dominated by land owners and real estate developers with little or no vision for long range. Consequently, Gilbert has exploded from a tiny town of 10000 to 200000+ in just a couple of decades, with no real quality of life decisions being made. If you want to know what Gilbert will look like in ten or fifteen years, look north to Mesa. Another once charming and beautiful community that has fallen to the ravages of unbridled growth and development and that is nearly bankrupt due to lack of ability to supply adequate essential services. Sad.
