I live in Hagerman, NM. It is a town, not a neighborhood, but doesn't come anywhere close to rating as a city, so...I have only lived here for three months so my views may be somewhat limited.
So far, I love it. It's quiet, the street we live on is safe: most drive slowly, leave their doors unlocked( not me, I've lived in bigger cities and have too many ideas ingrained), etc.
It's been rather hot already this year tho'. I'm not sure that the desert is for me. We've been over 100F a few days already.
There's a small lake close by for fishing and boating, and both Roswell an Artesia are within 25 miles in either direction.
Aside from the heat, I really have no complaints...I like this town.
