Although culture and recreation are the biggest attraction to the metropolitan area of New Orleans; this quiet, clean, and cheap suburb is a perfect escape from the chaos of downtown. Depending on time and traffic only 20-40 minutes from the heart of the city and most other regular activities and festivities. more than self-sustained, with all essential amenities within a few miles, the only downside is that you may decide to stay around home rather than venture into the city; but that can only save money!
