Hickam is a good place to live and its getting even better. Housing is half privatized and half government. The base is quickly trying to rebuild the majority of the houses since they are 40+ years old. The new houses are beautiful and on average more than 1600 square feet with three or more bedrooms. The Air Force has finally decided its useless to build any more one or two bedroom units!
