Review of Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey

Star Rating - 7/13/2008
Ho-Ho-Kus (hyphen's optional) is a bedroom community of NYC. There is mass transportation to the city, and the driving commute can be less tan 40 minutest o mid-town. Population just tipping 4,000. It has a wonderful elementary school (pre-K to 8th grade) that's feels more like a private Day School than a public school, and it looks like a Norman Rockwell painting. Besides this fabulous elementary school, the children go to one of the best public high schools in the state, Northern Highlands. I don't have the stats, but a very high percentage of graduates go on to higher education.
This sleepy town has some of the most picturesque homes in the area. The tudor colonials, designed by Cheelcroft in the the 20's & 30's have charming interior details with chestnut trim and leaded windows.
There is also an estate section with homes on minimum building lots of 1 acre.
Ho-Ho-Kus is a wonderful place to plant roots and raise a family.
