I am an Indiana Native and have lived in Indianapolis for 3 years. Indianapolis is an okay please to live. If you are a 20 something person looking for entertainment other than clubbing you will find some nice lounges, sporting events and theatre events. If you are into more eclectic things then don't move to Indiana period! We are a bit conservative. There aren't many ethinically diverse scenes going on in Indy and that is a major negative for the city. Like any other major city there are high crime areas, and low crime areas. Traffic can be a motherbear on the interstate during rush hour but what major city doesn't have that either?! The job market could be better. It is hard to find a job in the marketing field unless you are into sales. Indianapolis is a great place to START your life on your own if your single, but once you're ready to go to the next level, MOVE!
