Review of Indianapolis, Indiana

South of Indianapolis
Star Rating - 10/29/2008
We are considering a move to the Indy area in the next few months. My husband is from Indiana orginally but hasn't lived there since college. I've never lived there but am willing to give it a shot!

His job will be south of Indy in Shelbyville and I'm wondering where are good places to live. We'd like a golf course community and I don't want him to have a long commute, so the northern part of Indy is out of the question. We're moving from Atlanta and I think the housing prices will be favorable (although in this market who knows). Can anyone speak to Greenfield, Greenwood, New Palestine or other areas? We don't want a lot of land, just a suburb type lot - 1/2 acre or so.

Any recommendations on areas to look at? Thanks for the tips!
