Irondequoit is a great place close to Lake Ontario, Durand Park and home of a wonderful 4th of July Festival. It seems that West Irondequoit has better schools than East Irondequoit however East Irondequoit has newer and nicer houses. Seabreeze Amusement Park is located in East irondequoit as well as a public boat launch to enjoy Lake Ontario and Irondequoit Bay.
It seems as though Irondequoit is a transitional town, a lot of elderly people making way for young families. School and property taxes are very high but the prices of houses are very reasonable.
