Johnstown Very Too Bad it is in New York State!

Johnstown is situated between the Mohawk Valley and Adirondack Mountains. Small City, safe and great place to raise a family. People are friendly and pull together in times of need. Housing is affordable. Lots of outdoor stuff to do all year round. Air and water are decent quality. Some good local shops but you may have to go to Albany or Saratoga (40 minute drive to either) to get much more variety. This gives you opportunities to enjoy Sartoga and Albany. We are within 4 hours of New York City, Boston, and 2hours from Vermont. The Biggest drawbacks are Taxes and Jobs. New York State policies are destoying the small towns in upstate NY and devastating the people who remain. Many are leaving the state to find better jobs and a lower cost of living. It is a shame because New York State has some really good qualities.
