Quaint, coastal community

We've recently relocated to Jupiter from Portland, OR. The two couldn't be more different. Jupiter is a quaint, little coastal town slightly north of West Palm Beach. The cost of living is relatively high, however, the current housing slump has brought the price of homes down substantially making Jupiter more affordable for middle-class families. Expect to pay high property taxes, insurance, and HOA fees though. That is where the real sticker shock kicks in. The beaches are beauiful and the people, for the most part, are friendly. Coming from Portland, I would say that Jupiter is quite a bit more conservative. If you have a good paying job, a family, and a desire to live close to the ocean, Jupiter is a good option.
