Quality of life

Overall, Lake Bluff is an excellent village to raise a family. The schools are competitive and crime is non existent. The town is more like a resort with natural beauty (lakefront, ravines, and wonderful trees), premium architecture, and a postcard downtown. Many refer to it as Mayberry as its relatively small size promotes good neighbors. Nonetheless, Lake Bluff offers good sophistication and amenities to go along with the high cost of living on Chicago's famous Northshore. A popular bumper sticker is "I don't live in the real world I live in Lake Bluff".
