Cambridge is a small community about 20 minutes east of Madison, close to the "big" city, but, far enough away to still have "small town" values! Cambridge is known for local inventors Ole Evinrude and Arthur Davidson - whom both tinkered with motors while residing in Cambridge, Wisconsin. They went on to found Evinrude Outboard Motors and Harley-Davidson Motorcycles. You can find out about the history of Cambridge at the Cambridge Historic School, which tells stories of times gone by. More recently Cambridge is known for NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth #17. You can visit the free MK museum/fan club and see Matts actual race cars and it is free to take pictures! Cambridge is home to many pottery and stoneware artists, many of which participate in the annual Cambridge Pottery Festival & US Pottery Games that is held in June. Main Street in Cambridge offers many diverse items, from hand woven articles to hand hewn furniture. Home made candies, cookies and many other very unique gifts.
