Pollution is not all bad.

In response to the April comment on air pollution in this area. It is true that Lancaster county is in the lower 10% of air quality rating. However, I believe if one were to look at the data for determining the ratings one would see that the major factors are pollens, dust, and molds, All generated as a result of the extensive farmland and woodlands in the surrounding county, and in the city as well. Also it is not an every day occurance, rather it tends to be seasonal. Another component is certainly the pollution contributed from cars & trucks, as a result of the continuing growth of population & industry & lack of an efficent mass transit system, i.e. light rail or trolley.
This aspect of the quality of life, considered along with all of the other factors, is a minor issue. As a resident, with some allergy issues, who migrated here from southern California I can say without reservation that living here is more desireable; Republicans, and industry not withstanding.
