Las Cruces is Great!

Las Cruces is a beautiful city with the feel of a small town. The multicultural atmosphere is wonderful and there is a budding art scene. I attend New Mexico State University and enjoy it very much, it has the services of a large institution but a small school feel. The weather is the best I've encountered, there are several days over 100 degrees in the summer but the lack of humidity and winter weather make it well worth it. The people are very friendly and anything you can't find in the way of shopping and dining can be found 40 miles down the road in El Paso. I am also married and have two children and the are many city sponsored activities and events year round. Diversity is celebrated not shunned in Las Cruces, whether it is race, religion, or some kind of disability you are welcome, I've never seen a better chemistry and relationship between different races. The cost of living is low and growth is going full steam ahead, there is also almost no place in Las Cruces that I'd be afraid to walk around at night. I have lived in the midwest and other parts of the south and Las Cruces is certainly the place to be for me.
