Once red now blue

The area was once was a solid red republican area now has gone Blue. Most in the area are middle to right but the left has gained in many communities. Some of this is due to increasing influence of people fleeing IL, the dependence on Government assistance, the strong (mis-guided) union presence, and an overall lack of understanding of basic economics.
