Happy to be Home

I lived in Lindenhurst when I was growing up and then moved away. I am so happy to be back. Lindenhurst is a wonderful place to live and raise your family. The public schools and teachers here I truely feel are the best around. I received an excellent education here (I graduated in 1974), and my son will be graduating next year and I have to say, I am so glad I moved back, it has been fantastic for him. My mother and father lived in this house for 53 years. They loved it here, always felt safe, even sometimes leaving their doors open, hardly any crime. Our neighbors are very friendly and everyone watches out for each other and every year there are lots of block parties. In the village there is a museum, a playhouse, and a coffee house where they have live music on the weekends. There are lots of churches, including a wonderful Catholic church that offers frequent masses and activities for our youth, including basketball and cheerleading. The summers are so great here, so much to do, there are free concerts, the beaches are minutes away, and there are parks and pools and great restaurants nearby.
Everyone takes great pride in their homes and one is nicer than the next. Transportation is excellent, with the L. I. railroad you are only 40 minutes from Manhattan.
