This is a really great place to live. You don't have to drive too far to reach the excitement of a big city (such as Atlantic City, Philadelphia, or New York). You are close to the bay and the ocean on this 18 mile island - Long Beach Island - NJ. It is safe to raise your family here (check out the crime rates - low). You have to be able to stand the avg. cold, but windy winters, sometimes feels desolate but the mainland has a lot of people, can always take short drive over the bridge to walmart.
