Summers in Louisiana and hot 90+ day time and often 75 to 80 even at 11:00 PM.
Thats late May to Mid Sept. Humidity in the North is not all that high so the temps. are not as bad as it may seem. The South generally has high humidity so that is a different story. Fall (late Sept to often early Dec. is great.) Mild throughout the State with much color. Winters are short with about 2 or 3 light freezes in the North, rarely a 32 in the south.
