Very "kid" oriented

I live in Louisville, Kentucky, and while I am happy here and could continue to be happy here permanently, there are some things I would change if I could. #1 problem -- everyone here has kids, and everything -- I do mean everything -- is oriented towards families with young children. An example: we had a "Mardi Gras" festival for all the refugees from New Orleans, and much effort was made to make sure that it was a "family" event. Oh, well.
Overall, it's a nice place.
