Review of Macon, Georgia

Feels like a developing nation
Star Rating - 8/24/2012
It is the least progressive place I have ever lived; it has the most amount of churches per capita, yet the 8th highest crime per capita in the nation. Many gangs, ghettos, low graduation rates, high teen pregnancy rates, the entitlement attitude, section 8 infiltrating gated communities, ambivalent attitudes towards pets, progress, it is like living in an impoverished time warp! They will never bring fortune 500's here, the only plus is the cheap cost of living, but the resale value of homes has greatly diminished, graduation rate from public high school is 45% and illiteracy is 33%. I feel like I am serving in the Peace Corps, except most developing nations have better work ethics!
