Review of Manassas, Virginia

Greatplace to live - lousy place to commute
Star Rating - 4/14/2006
Manassas has the conveniences of the city with the feel of a smaller community. But commuting from here "into the city" is a nightmare. I work in Alexandria and have adjusted my schedule so that I am not driving during what most people consider the "rush." It still takes three hours to drive the 70 mile round trip from my home to my office and I'm taking the "back roads" that are less congested. If I drive I-66 to the 495/Beltway to Alexandria and back, the commute is four hours plus, roundtrip.
