Marietta GA - Where dreams go to die.

Ive lived in Marietta for almost 5 years now and have never in my 50 years on this earth been so miserable. I live in the same subdivision. The neighbors don't know each other and they are happy that way. You drive into your garage and enter your home that way. The area is awash with strip malls and chain restaurants and starbucks. I have to drive a very long way to find independently owned restaurants and cafes. Slowly over the years they have disappeared. My husband moved here 15 years ago. Its unrecognisable from what it was. The price of property has shot up everywhere in the area and the midiam price that is quoted here is very optimistic. If you check the average spend on students in the US it is must lower here. If you stand still long enough someone will build a condo on you. For me personally I cannot wait to leave here.
