Review of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

not a nice city
Star Rating - 10/4/2006
I've been a resident of Milwaukee for 28 years, and the city is declining. The crime rates are increasing, and the this is a city seperated by race. The education system is declining, and the politicians are arguing over a mono-rail system and renovations on the Bradley Center(where the Bucks play). Jobs are becoming scare and the winter season is brutal. The best thing about Milwaukee is there festivals during the summer. I will be relocating my family to Charlotte, so that we can jump on a the bandwagon of a growing, more up-tempo city.

I agree Milwaukee is behind the times. The biggest drawbacks having lived in Milwaukee are no question the weather, the job market and the many rude people. Best wishes in NC.

I agree with both of you. I have been living in Milwaukee for 6 years now, and useless to say that i have not had a "long lasting" friendship. People are very arrogant and rude. I would say that selfishness is palpable. I am convinced i can deduct this only by looking at how people drive their car. There is almost no traffic in Milwaukee, yet, for not allowing people to move from a lane to the adjacent one, people are willing to case back ups. All this in my mind sounds like "I do not let you pass because i am so much better than you", i.e. arrogant. On the racial side, i once heard a person saying, "Milwaukee is like a concentration camp", I bet that person was right. I wish i could move any time soon.
