I've lived in MN all my life, both in Chanhassen and way out in the boonies of Buffalo Lake...I LOVE this state...never going to live anywhere else. the people are nice, theres a really low crime rate (specially in the winter, haha) we have everything here (we have the most theaters (plays and such) per capita) and we have some of the best malls in the country. the winters arent as bad as the people here make it seem, yeah its skin crackin' cold up here, but if youve lived here for your whole life 12 isnt that cold anymore. haha. the environment is so beautiful, especially if you love the water, its everywhere...everyone does some kind of outdoor activity in all of the seasons we have (hunting, fishing, swimming, ice fishing, snowmobiles, boats/jetskis etc) the living cost is not that high compared to other states, its about lower average (we do have a high sales and sin tax though, but its not horrible) it all depends on what area you live in (obviously), the cities (twin cities and surrounding connecters)are obviously going to be more expensive than the smaller towns that are still large (st.cloud, duluth, mankato) that are more expensive than the smaller medium towns (willmar, hutchinson, brainard, bemiji) to the little towns in the sticks that are dirt cheap but really nice (too many to name hehe)
i recommend this state to everyone.
