You're exactly right!
We've just moved here in Dec.09 and I'm sick of this place already. I'm here in Antioch, Tn. coming from the mid-west, so it's a change for us. When we first arrived here, we had a hard time getting the kids into school(teen-aged high school kids) The school took their time about getting the school records from their previous school, no school records, no assigned classes. For three weeks we had problems with the transportation dept. getting them on the right route. All last week, we had to call the bus co. every day for them to come and pick up the kids at their route. They were completely forgotten. Resulting in being tardy for school. Just Monday and today the school was closed for so-called flooding. I haven't seen any flooded streets, and if so, why close down all the schools. (It makes me think that it's budget cutting.)Yes, we've had heavy rain over the weekend, but not enough to close down all metro schools. And now, the schools are closed tomorrow as well. You live here also so, you know that they've closed down the schools even when it didn't snow. And when it did snow how many accidents have you seen? I've seen a lot! Since we've been here I've been told on several occasions that they do things nice and slow down here and yes, they really do! I always try to be an optimistic person and I've read many posted warnings about Nashville and had to check things out for myself. Most of the statements about Nashville we've found out to be true by experience. I can't wait until our children are out for summer vacation, were out of here!
