We moved to Neversink 4 yrs ago...It's a good place to raise a family. Tri-Valley is the best school district in Sullivan County. The town has 2 pools open to town residents for a small fee. Free swim lessons in the summer for all children who are residents of the town. The library's Giant Pumpkin Party in October is especially fun for the kids....but I have to admit that it's my favorite weekend of the year! All of my family from NJ and Conn. come for the festivities!
The best seasons here are the summer and fall. Summer temps are perfect....homes don't need air conditioning in Sullivan County, which is why it's a popular retreat for NYC folks. The fall is absolutley beautiful...my favorite time of the year here...NY apples, crisp weather, the colorful mountain scenery, the beautiful Neversink reservoir. It doesn't get any better than autumn in Neversink.
If you hate winter, however, Neversink is not the best place to be. January through March are especially brutal. Some days in March, when we are having our 30th snow storm, I'm ready to jump off my roof! But April eventually comes and brings back the nice weather.
