I think your crime rating of 7 on a scale of 1-10 for Cambria Heights is GROSSLY exaggerated. I've lived here nearly all my life and have never been the victim of a violent crime. I feel perfectly safe walking around my community, have GREAT neighbors and I would venture to say that the majority of Cambria Heights residents feel the same way. Is it a perfect place to live, no, but it's a far cry from places like Newark, East New York or Irivington, where the murder and assault rates are high. Auto theft garners the hightest crime numbers in the 105th precinct and that covers Cambria Heights and 8 other neighborhoods, each with more than 20,000 residents. I'd hate to think you're making assumptions about Cambria Heights based on the demographics of the community. All predominately minority communities are not the crime-ridden, dangerous places some people insist on believing they are.
