What I love about where we currently live are many things. First of all, being location. Approx 30 miles north of NYC makes commuting to the city simple, whether it's for work or for cultural and shopping venues, without the noise, congestion and city-living that I would like to avoid. Also we are close to major international airports as well as a smaller regional one. Our community is diverse in demographics, and offers everything from top notch hospitals to many activities (sports, cultural, etc) for all ages. All this, while maintaining the quiet, serenity of the suburbs.
The only negative thing, in my eyes, is that it is very expensive to live here and property taxes are relatively high compared to many areas of the country. Unfortunately it will be the taxes that will force us to move when we retire.
