I've lived here in NY for maybe 12 years and after getting married and having a baby this fast paced city seems to hold nothing for us and is extremely expensive. Our 2 bedroom apartment is the cost of a mortgage payment. Since we cannot afford a $500,000 place leaving NY seems to be the best move for us. In my opinion, it isn't the place for a family friendly atmosphere.
