Overall a great place to live!

We relocated to Norfolk/Virginia Beach about 2 years ago from NY (originally from the Pacific NW) and we have found Norfolk to be very pleasant, in many ways! The cost of living is WONDERFUL! Gas is cheap, even dining out and grocery shopping are economical, compared to other places we've lived. There is lots to do too and the weather is wonderful! You can head downtown for dining and great shopping, or head to the beach for some fun in the sun, or head north to visit Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, etc. Some complain about traffic, but after living in NY, I will never complain about the traffic! My only complaint would be as a mother; it seems a lot of people choose to put their children in private schools due to below average public schools.
