Having landed in Pahrump several years ago, I' really tried to like this place. But it is simply horrible. Once you get off the main highways, 160 and 372, and start to wander around, you will be sickened by how disgusting so many properties are. Junk everywhere. Old falling apart trailers abandoned when someone hauls a "new" old trailer on the lot to replace it. No entertainment unless you want to go to Vegas or like gambling. The clubs (bars) are almost all dives, dirty dusty and smokey. There are two classes of people here - poor welfare or barely surviving retired folks, and those who live in the spot of nicer big city type subdivisions strewn across the valley. Walmart is it for shopping, no real hospital, and if you want any kind of decent medical care you may as well plan on making the trip to Vegas. If I could score this place negative stars, I would, cuz it's the worst place I have ever lived.
