I had lived in Ohio City, near downtown Cleveland, for about 6 years (44113). My girlfriend moved in, last year. Unfortunately, she had a few problems after her arrival. She was mugged and had the tires stolen off of her car! Needless to say, we started looking for other places to live. We utilized Sperling's, in our search, and settled on Parma (44129).
I was not very excited about the prospect of moving to the 'burbs, but was pleasantly surprised when we moved in. The low crime rate has been as promised, and we haven't had any issues. There are a few nice bars/restaurants in the area (Bamboozle's and the Tradesman Tavern are two of our favorites), along with enough other "things" to keep us occupied (Great Northern Mall is close, as is Ridgewood Golf Course, and several parks/recreation areas).
Finally . . . if we REALLY miss downtown, it's only about 15 minutes away.
