There is really nothing in this small town, if you are looking for a career, it is very impossible in this area. For more than 2 years of living here, there were more than 5 establishments/businesses that closed, the town is a ghost town. They must do something about their tourism here so that it will attract visitors then will attract investors, then create employment and so the town will generate income. Two things I like here is the abundance of seafoods and no traffic.

I've lived here for nearly 22 years and this is a rather harsh and inaccurate assessment of this area. Sorry you had a bad experience but there's no full overcast year round. We have on average 150 clear days per year, and the last two years have averaged a bit better than that. (You're near mountains and water. You're gonna get clouds.) The temps run from 30 to 80 and the daytime/night time difference is usually somewhere around 10 degrees. The bridges (which there's only one, the Hood Canal bridge) work just fine and all ferries run on schedule. (The COHO to Victoria shuts down in winter for a month of dry dock.) Yes, property crime does exist but name me a city that doesn't have any. People are usually friendly and quite helpful so I'm not sure what crowd you're running with. The DUIs in the entire state are lower than the national average and the state scores quite well with MADD. As to the scenery; if you love oceans, mountains, and forest trails, you won't find a better place to live. Property values are unfortunately high but that's to be expected when you rim a national park. Every where you point a camera will yield a postcard.
