A pleasant surprise in Reno

We recently moved to Reno and have found a very close knit and engaged community. Behind the recreational opportunities (casinos, shows, etc.)that it is famous for, Reno is a creative, progressive community with a very pleasant life style that is not obvious to outsiders. Also, while it is a high desert climate, the winter and summer weather is mild for those accustomed to the extremes in most of the eastern and southern US. For those who love the outdoors - winter and summer - the high Sierra and Lake Tahoe are literally minutes away.
