i moved to reno more than a year ago from california. i dig this city, but i am ready to leave it now. the gambling is such a strong lure and my habit for it is increasing. the locals here are very trashy and unrefined. the surroundings are beauteous and the weather is exceptional here. it gets really hot in the summer, and very cold and snowy in the winter. i love being less than an hour away from all parts of lake tahoe. there are plenty of top-notch ski resorts near reno if you're into that. the diversity of reno is increasing and that is not a bad thing. the crystal meth/speed problem here is despicable and many of the young citizens who abuse the drug look so worn out and decrepid. i know i don't belong here and it's so not where i'm going to settle, but i won't pretend like i'm not fond of this place. reno is so exciting.
