We've lived in Richmond for 2 years after spending 35 years in Fairfield,CT. There is always something going on in this area and everything is easy to get to. The airport is convenient, the highway system runs right thru Richmond and Amtrak has 2 stops here. 2 major universities in the city and the Univ of VA. is only 45 minutes away. There is a symphony, ballet and lots of clubs and concert venues. The cost of living is very low, especially coming from CT. Winters are non-existent and the 3 other seasons are long.
