I've lived here over a year and am trying to move. The mayor and aldermen only care about themselves. Water has been bad for at least ten years. It's brown sometimes black. You can go on Facebook to Ridgecrest Citizen and see for yourself. The water makes white laundry turn dingy brown. Water makes children and elderly sick. We pay outrageous water rates for water we can't use. It makes water heaters and appliances wear out a lot faster but health dept and La EPA says it's safe. The thmms are so high in quarterly readings they can cause cancer. Water plants need to be replaced but instead in by 2022 we will be tying into ferriday la water that is as bad as ours.
