Relocating -- Any words of wisdom?

Hello!

I'm relocating from South Texas for a job and wanted to know a little about Rio Rancho and Albuquerque...I have two young kids and for a safe, friendly environment with very good schools. What say you?! (*Also, affordable rentals are on my list of 'things to do'!)
