The jail is not in the middle of downtown. Although it is nearby, it is located where it does no damage. The student gets out of their school years whatever they put into it. Auburn H.S. ranks with the very best in the whole state. Also, there are many fine private schools in the city.
Rockford has one of the highest # golf courses / 100,000 people in the nation. The local park and forest preserve districts are extensive and very good. This includes two super water parks.
