Parks and Forest Preserves

In the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Cook and other counties offer an extensive network of well-maintained forest preserves. It is possible to spend 1 day/week in the warm weather and never visit the same preserve twice. In addition, Schaumburg township has many smaller but equally attractive parks for shorter walks. In 2003 The League of American Bicyclists has named Schaumburg a "Bicycle-Friendly Community".
