Help w/ relocation

I've lived in Seattle my whole life but am coming to realization that I can no longer afford to live here. Housing costs keep going up, my wages staying the same, and I want to be able to buy a house someday to provide some security for my 3 kids, but the way the market's looking, that is NEVER going to happen. So in other words, seriously thinking about relocating, but where? Want to stay close to family here but other than that, I want to find a place w/ decent cost of living, good jobs, low crime, good school system, etc. If anyone could help me out w/ some suggestions, it would be much appreciated. Thank you!
